CFEC staff member will come to your home and offer ideas and support for your home schooling environment and materials.

Montessori in the Home (MIH)

CFEC staff member will come to your home and offer support for your Montessori concepts.

Session 1-

Setting up the Child Friendly Environment: (2 hours minimum)

We will help you with ideas on how you can set up areas for you child which follow Montessori concepts and suggestions for materials you can use in your home focusing on Montessori methods of learning. We will perform an assessment, observations and recommendations that are specific to the age and developmental needs of your child and your home environment. This session will include a list of resources & materials for you to choose from and purchase what works for you, your child, and your home.

Sessions 2 & 3-

Understanding the Montessori Philosophy and Materials: (1 hour minimum per session)

We will help you set up your home environment, explain the Montessori Philosophy and model how you can use activities and materials with your child to foster his or her learning and growth following the Montessori Method of education.

Follow-up Sessions: (1 hour or more)

We will help support you as you continue your journey by offering support, suggestions, and further ideas for you to help your child as she or he progresses in your home learning environment. Can include modeling of activities and materials and other topics of interest.

Preparation for entering or acclimating to a

Montessori School Environment: (2 hours minimum)

We will cover topics that are helpful to parents and encourage ideas to help you help your child prepare and adapt to entering the Montessori school of your choice. This is ideal for parents of toddlers, and pre-K children who may not yet be ready for the classroom environment, children enrolled or entering the classroom environment, and parents who want help understanding and acclimating to the Montessori classroom experience. Can include ideas on setting up home environment following Montessori concepts.

$50.00 per hour, minimum of 2 hours for first session, and minimum of 1 hour for subsequent sessions.
